Islamabad, December 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):A ceremony was held at Drivers Licensing Authority, National Highways and Motorway Police to commemorate Christmas celebrations. Former IGP and President of Minority Commission Dr. Shoaib Suddle was chief guest of the ceremony. Deputy Inspector General Asghar Yousafzai, senior officers, and Christian employees attended the ceremony.
Dr. Shoaib Suddle also addressed participants where he said that Jesus (PBUH) preached love, brotherhood, tolerance, non-violence and advocated selfless services for humanity. Addressing the participants, DIG Asghar Yousafzai appreciated the role of the Christian community and remarked on the importance of forging deep and meaningful relationships to nurture inter-faith harmony.
He extended Christmas and New Year’s greetings and expressed hope that citizens of all religions make concerted efforts with the spirit of amity and brotherhood for progress and development of the country. Cash rewards along with gifts were also distributed to NHMP’s Christian employees.
