DRAP’s New Building Inaugurated, Emphasizes Eco-friendly Practices


Islamabad, The newly upgraded building of the Drug Regulatory Authority Pakistan (DRAP), situated in the PM Health Complex in Chak Shahzad, was officially inaugurated by Iftikhar Ali Shallwani, Federal Secretary Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination. The inauguration underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing regulatory services in the health sector while emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.



According to Press Information Department, the ceremony saw CEO DRAP Mr. Asim Rauf, among other officials, welcoming Secretary Shallwani. During a detailed briefing, the advancements and environmentally friendly features of the upgraded facility were highlighted, with a particular emphasis on its complete reliance on solar energy for power. Secretary Shallwani lauded the initiative, advocating for the integration of eco-conscious practices across development projects to promote sustainability.



Following the ceremony, Secretary Shallwani conducted a comprehensive inspection of the office facilities within the building, marking a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to strengthen health services regulation in Pakistan through infrastructural development and sustainable practices.
