Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai Receives Life Achievement Award at Kashmir Conference in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, a prominent figure in the Kashmir Liberation Movement, was honored with a Life Achievement Award by the Institute of Peace and Development (INSPAD) at a conference held in Rawalakot. The award recognizes his long-standing and significant contributions to the movement on an international scale.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the award ceremony was part of the Round Table Peace Conference, organized by INSPAD, where Dr. Fai served as the Chief Guest. During his address, he discussed the vital importance of a robust Pakistan in the resolution of the Kashmir issue, asserting that influence in international affairs today is predominantly held by nations that are economically and politically stable. The conference, under the theme “Present Situation and Future Strategy of Kashmir,” was chaired by Sardar Waheed Khan, Commissioner of Poonch Division, and Dr. Muhammad Tahir Tabasim, President of INSPAD. It focused on the ongoing challenges faced by Kashmiris and Palestinians, as well as the historical activism of the Poonch region’s people.

The event drew participation from a diverse group of notable personalities including former judges, lawyers, academics, and journalists. Discussions centered on the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and the strategic directions needed to advance their cause. The session also included a productive question and answer period where future strategies for Kashmir were debated.

The conference concluded with acknowledgments of Dr. Fai’s pivotal role in representing the Kashmir cause globally and thanks to the INSPAD president for his efforts in organizing the significant gathering.
