Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the United Nations and effective multilateralism during a telephonic conversation with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conversation between the two officials involved discussions on the latest regional developments. Both parties emphasized the significance of ongoing diplomacy and dialogue to foster regional and international peace and stability. The IAEA Director General expressed optimism that the involved parties would maintain dialogue and engagement based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, aiming for a peaceful and lasting resolution.
Additionally, Grossi briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on his candidacy for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations. The conversation highlighted the shared commitment to constructive engagement in addressing global challenges.
