Door to Door Social Mobilization Campaign Getting Fruitful Results

Lahore, August 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Special vaccination campaign “Door to Door Social Mobilization” has been launched by Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P and SHD), Sarah Aslam which will be continued till August 14th. During this campaign citizens will be vaccinated at their doorsteps. Secretary Primary and Secondary Department, Sarah Aslam also devised a comprehensive plan for the vaccination of participants in Majalis and Jaloos during the Holy month of Muharram. While early reviewing COVID-19 current stats, intensive vaccination drive a huge rise is observed in vaccination drive. Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam told about vaccination continuously 12th day of over 5 lac vaccination per day in Punjab.

A new record of vaccination done across Punjab, record number of vaccinations is being carried out on daily basis. There are currently a total of 662 vaccination centres are in operation. In the last 24 hours, 517,506 people have been vaccinated across the province. In Punjab province, record more than 20 Millions citizens have been vaccinated till now. A total of 20,014,460 citizens have been vaccinated across the province. In the last 24 hours, 63,258 people have been vaccinated in Lahore. A total of 3,145,582 citizens have been vaccinated in Lahore till today.

She says that “ONLY and ONLY Vaccination” is the real remedy against COVID-19. Sarah Aslam highlights increase in corona cases , as 1,087 cases are reported in 24 hours getting tally to 363,644. 335,079 patients are fully recovered and active cases are 17,373 till date. 7 more death have reported in Lahore, whereas overall deaths in Punjab are 22, bringing the total of 11,192 till date.

Total tests conducted are 6,317,276 while 20،609 tests has processed in recent 24 hours, 471 cases in Lahore, 236 cases in Rawalpindi, 40 cases in Multan, 38 cases in Gujrat, 37 cases in Bahawalpur, 34 cases in Faisalabad, 26 cases in Sialkot, 21 cases in Sheikhupura, 20 cases in Gujranwala, 19 cases in Sargodha, 18 cases in Rahim Yar Khan, 17 cases in Dera Ghazi Khan, 16 cases in Chakwal, 12 cases in Layyah, 8 cases in Jhelum, 8 cases in Mianwali, 7 cases in Jhang, 7 cases in Pakpattan, 6 cases in Muzafargarh, 6 cases in Narowal, 5 cases in Bhakar, 5 cases in Toba Tek Singh, whereas respectively 4 cases are reported each in Kasur, Nankana, Sahiwal and Okara and 3 cases in Vehari.

During last 24 hours the average positivity ratio 5.3 has recorded across the whole Province. Provincial Capital Lahore positivity ratio recorded 9.0, 17.9 in Rawalpindi, 2.4 in Faisalabad, 3.2 in Multan and 2.3 in Gujarat. Sarah Aslam instructed the public, adherence to SOPs and timely vaccination is the only key to cope with Delta variant, as its likely to be one of the dominant strains of COVID-19 in Pakistan and worldwide. She also appreciated the public inclusion in vaccine drive.
