Diwali Celebrated at Governor House with Cake Cutting and Fireworks

Karachi: Diwali was celebrated at the Governor House with Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori cutting a cake alongside the Hindu community and extending his wishes to them. The event featured a fireworks display and was attended by consuls general from various countries. Special guest Mr. Universe gold medalist Rameez Ibrahim dedicated his gold medal to Governor Tessori.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori in his speech emphasized that Diwali is a globally celebrated festival symbolizing joy, love, and happiness for the Hindu community. He extended his greetings, wishing them joy and prosperity. The celebration was attended by consuls general, international artists from the World Culture Festival in Karachi, Hindu community leaders, and hundreds of participants.

Governor Tessori described Pakistan as a bouquet of flowers with each community contributing to the nation’s fragrance. He highlighted the role of minorities, particularly the Hindu community, in the country’s progress and prosperity, stating that all citizens hold equal status regardless of religion and that discrimination will not be tolerated.

During the event, Governor Tessori presented Rameez Ibrahim with his gold medal and awarded shawls, Jinnah caps, and medals to international artists from the World Culture Festival. Rameez Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the governor’s support by dedicating his medal to him.
