Distance Learning Training Sessions through Webinar for District Judiciary during Summer Vacations on Core and Non-Core Subjects

Lahore, August 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):With the approval of Hon’ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court/ Chairperson BoM, Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore, the Academy has designed Distance Learning Training Sessions through Webinar for District Judiciary during Summer Vacations on Core and Non-Core Subjects from 02nd August to 08th September, 2022.

The training sessions inaugurated with the recitation of Holy Qur’an. In the opening remarks, Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General PJA, said that the purpose of said webinar training program is to keep judicial officers engaged in training activities during summer vacations to increase, judicial, administrative and financial skills to enhance their knowledge and capacity building.

Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning) PJA, in his inaugural address gave an overview of the program and emphasized that the objectives of the training sessions are to further enhance the judicial and professional skills of the Judges, therefore, it is so important to remain engaged and actively participate in the webinar sessions.

The subject of inaugural training session was “Communication skills” addressed by Syed Nasir Ali Shah, District and Sessions Judge (R), started from 12:00 noon and concluded at 01:15 p.m. See Photos.

In Distance Learning Training Sessions through Webinar for District Judiciary during Summer Vacations on Core and Non-Core Subjects, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Atir Mahmood shared his experience with the Family Court Judges in Punjab through a webinar session on the topic “Family cases, maintenance for children/wife, responsibility and its consequences – relevant case law” on 04th August, 2022 from 12:00 – 01:15 p.m.

During the session, his lordship discussed role and responsibilities of Family Courts and provided an insight into cases relating to maintenance for children/wife. At the end of the session, participants thanked the Hon’ble resource person and asked different questions relating to the topic. The learned resource person answered the questions and also appreciated the focus and interest of the participants. See Photos.

On 11th August, 2022 from 12:00 – 01:15 p.m. Hon’ble Mr. Justice (R) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar was pleased to address the District Judiciary Judges through webinar on the topic “Concept of principle of natural justice, equity and good conscience – understanding its jurisprudence and implementation” in Distance Learning Training Sessions through Webinar for District Judiciary during Summer Vacations on Core and Non-Core Subjects.

His lordship stressed that for proper administration of justice it is expedient to understand the concept, utilization and importance of principles of natural justice, equity and good Conscience. On conclusion of the session, the Hon’ble resource person answered different questions asked by the participants and also appreciated the focus and interest of the participants. See Photos.

Mr. Rehan Bashir, District and Sessions Judge, conducted a webinar session on the topic “Departmental/disciplinary proceedings and its effects: Law and Authority of the D and SJ” for District and Sessions Judges and Senior Civil Judges in Punjab on 16th August, 2022 from 12:00 – 01:15 p.m. in Distance Learning Training Sessions through Webinar for District Judiciary during Summer Vacations on Core and Non-Core Subjects.

The learned resource person highlighted different aspects of departmental/disciplinary proceedings, pointed out necessary steps involved in such proceedings and shared important case laws relating to the topic. On conclusion of the session, the learned resource person answered different questions asked by the participants. The participants also thanked the learned resource person for his experiential sharing. See Photos.
