Lahore: Director of Iqbal Academy, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, emphasized the significance of addressing the Kashmir dispute on an international platform, labeling the struggle for its resolution as lawful.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Rafiqui expressed these views during a meeting with Inam Ul Hassan, the head of Kashmir Center Lahore, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell. The meeting, held at Dr. Rafiqui’s office, highlighted the objectives and activities of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell.
Dr. Rafiqui asserted that the poetry of Allama Iqbal continues to inspire the freedom movement. He pledged to work with the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell to advance the Kashmir cause. The Iqbal Academy, he announced, will focus on academic research concerning different facets of the Kashmir issue. He urged universities to develop new research areas dedicated to this topic.
In addition, Dr. Rafiqui suggested that literature on Kashmir should be available in Pakistani embassies worldwide. This initiative aims to equip diplomats with the necessary resources to advocate effectively for the Kashmir cause.
