Digital Charity Platform ‘My Impact Meter’ Aims to Enhance Transparency and Reach in Pakistan

Washington DC, At a recent gathering at Pakistan House, Kanwal Cheema, Founder and CEO of My Impact Meter (MIM), detailed how her digital platform is revolutionizing charity work in Pakistan by increasing transparency and expanding donor reach. Addressing leading Pak-American tech entrepreneurs and IT professionals, Cheema emphasized the role of technology in poverty eradication, social integration, and enhancing human security.

According to Press Information Department, MIM is collaborating with about 70 NGOs to streamline and make transparent their operations. The platform is unique in that it provides digital vouchers for essentials like groceries and education, and facilitates vocational training for beneficiaries, equipping them with skills to secure sustainable livelihoods. The platform also supports its users by providing laptops and groceries for six months during their training period.

Ambassador Masood Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, praised Cheema’s efforts and highlighted her role as a “bridge between continents” thanks to her intercontinental connections. The ambassador expressed support for MIM, recognizing its potential to connect the Pakistani diaspora and philanthropists to contribute effectively towards Pakistan’s social welfare.

During the event, Cheema also responded to queries about the disbursement of funds, privacy concerns of beneficiaries, and the effectiveness of the platform in helping individuals rise out of poverty. The session concluded with Cheema thanking Ambassador Khan for his support in facilitating meaningful connections with the Pak-US tech community.
