ISLAMABAD: A delegation of students from the Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad Bootcamp met with Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, at Parliament House. The meeting highlighted the importance of Balochistan in Pakistan’s development and the integration of modern technologies in parliamentary processes.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who was accompanied by Federal Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, welcomed the students, emphasizing his longstanding connection with Balochistan. He reiterated the significance of educational programs such as the National Assembly’s internship initiative, which aims to expand opportunities for Balochistan’s students.

Speaker Sadiq also discussed the National Assembly’s efforts to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its operations. Highlighting the introduction of the country’s first AI-enabled parliamentary system, he explained its role in digitizing parliamentary affairs, such as electronic document circulation and the use of digital tablets to reduce paper usage.

During the visit, students learned about AI’s impact on enhancing parliamentary research, legislation, and administrative tasks. Sadiq stressed that AI serves as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human capabilities.

Additionally, Umar Farooq, Founder and CEO of Tech Valley Pakistan, briefed the Speaker on the Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad Bootcamp. Speaker Sadiq praised the collaboration between various governmental and educational bodies in promoting AI education and preparing the youth for future challenges.
