Digital Agricultural Census Launched to Boost Farming Efficiency and Production


Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated the Seventh Agricultural Census today, asserting that this digital initiative will significantly improve agricultural productivity in Pakistan.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal emphasized the critical role of agricultural statistics in a country that relies heavily on agriculture. He commended the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics for implementing an automated local system that will streamline data collection and analysis. The insights derived from this data will be vital for developing agricultural policies, identifying high-potential production areas, and allocating resources effectively to enhance crop yields and farmer welfare.
