Islamabad: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has taken decisive steps to address public complaints, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. An open court was held at his office under an open door policy to engage directly with citizens.
During the session, Tariq listened to the grievances presented by the citizens and directed immediate action for their resolution. He underscored the importance of promptly addressing public issues, emphasizing equal rights for all citizens.
Tariq affirmed the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that dignity of citizens must be maintained. He stated that resolving issues swiftly is a priority.
Furthermore, Tariq announced a zero-tolerance policy against bribery and corruption within the police force. He promised strict action against any officials found guilty of such practices.
In his address, Tariq urged officers to fully utilize available resources to address public grievances. He emphasized that all applications should be processed on merit and that the protection of citizens’ rights is paramount.
