Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, conducted an open forum, known as Khuli Kachehri, to directly engage with citizens and police officials, addressing their complaints and ensuring timely resolution. This initiative follows the directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Syed Ali Nasir Ali Rizvi, reinforcing the capital police’s commitment to resolving public issues promptly.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, during the session, DIG Raza listened to various grievances from the public, assigning the cases to relevant officers with instructions to act swiftly and fairly. He emphasized a strict zero-tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption within the force, indicating that stringent actions would be taken against any personnel found guilty of such offenses.
The open court aims to foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the police service, enhancing community trust through regular and open communication. DIG Raza also highlighted the importance of such interactions for promoting friendly policing practices and the immediate resolution of community issues, asserting that the safety and dignity of the citizens remain a top priority.
