Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Wasim engaged with the in-charges of police facilitation centres and evaluated the services offered by the Police Station on Wheels. The meeting focused on enhancing police facilities, service delivery, and administrative efficiency for citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Wasim instructed officers to prioritize better, transparent, and timely police services. He highlighted the importance of addressing public complaints promptly and on merit, urging improvements in the service delivery system with an emphasis on citizen facilitation.

During his visit to the Police Station on Wheels, DIG Wasim learned that the mobile facility has served over 15,000 citizens since its inception, offering police services and driving license issuance at a single location. The initiative aims to bring police services closer to the public, making issue resolution more accessible and efficient. The facility, along with Islamabad Traffic Police facilitation vans, also operates during evening and night hours at various locations for added convenience.

DIG Wasim directed officers to maintain quality and timely services, advocating for further practical measures to enhance the effectiveness and citizen-friendliness of the police service delivery system.
