ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem conducted an inspection of the under-construction jail in Islamabad, focusing on construction progress and security measures. Simultaneously, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized a crackdown on criminal activities in the region.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Islamabad was accompanied by SSP Model Prison Islamabad Ali Akbar during the visit. The officers reviewed the ongoing construction, security arrangements, and related matters, receiving briefings on the progress. DIG Islamabad instructed officers to ensure timely completion of the jail construction in line with standards and effective management.

In a related development, SSP Operations Islamabad chaired a meeting with officers from Rural and Sohan Zones, including SP Rural Zeeshan Ali and relevant Sub-Divisional Police Officers. The meeting focused on reviewing officers’ performance and strategies for crime prevention. SSP Operations directed an intensified operation against criminal gangs, emphasizing resource utilization and coordinated strategies to combat crime.

SSP Operations reiterated the priority of safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, urging officers to maintain professionalism and dedication in their efforts to reduce crime across Islamabad.
