DFP Expresses Hope for Peace and Liberation in Kashmir and Palestine by 2025

Islamabad: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has expressed hope that 2025 will mark a turning point for peace and the liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.

According to Kashmir Media Service, DFP acting chairman Mahmood Ahmed Saghar emphasized the grave human rights situation in IIOJK, noting that Indian forces martyred 101 Kashmiris, including three minors, in 2024 alone.

“The continued bloodshed and violence have kept Kashmir under the shadow of repression for 77 years,” Saghar stated. Drawing parallels between the situations in Kashmir and Palestine, he described both regions as victims of settler colonialism. Saghar condemned what he called the systematic genocide of Palestinians by Israeli Zionists and the “slow-motion genocide” of Kashmiris under India’s RSS-influenced regime, describing these as significant challenges to global conscience.

Saghar urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take effective action against the repression in both regions. He called on global powers to resolve these longstanding conflicts, which he argued pose serious threats to international peace and security.

Expressing optimism, the DFP leader hoped that the coming year would bring peace, prosperity, and freedom, particularly for oppressed people in conflict-affected regions like Kashmir and Palestine. He envisioned 2025 as a transformative year where justice and human dignity would prevail.
