ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting to assess the final preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan will host later this month. The meeting, held in Islamabad, focused on reviewing the draft program, conference agenda, protocol, security and logistical arrangements, media and communication strategy, and inter-ministerial coordination.
According to Radio Pakistan, the 6th meeting of the High-Level Committee centered on ensuring the seamless conduct and successful hosting of the conference. The event, scheduled to begin on the 12th of this month, will gather representatives from 57 OIC Member States to enhance cooperation on women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable development.
The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the progress made by the Ministry of Human Rights and instructed all relevant stakeholders to maintain close coordination, emphasizing the importance of completing the remaining arrangements in a timely manner.
