Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Attends R4 Ministerial Meeting in Cairo


Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar visited Cairo to participate in the R4 Ministerial Meeting, highlighting Pakistan’s dedication to regional dialogue and cooperation. Hosted by Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdellaty from June 20-21, 2026, the meeting brought together ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye to discuss pressing regional and international issues.



According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Prime Minister joined other foreign ministers in a meeting with President Abdal Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, where he conveyed greetings from Pakistan’s leadership and reiterated the country’s commitment to strengthening ties with Egypt. The meeting also saw President El-Sisi accepting an invitation to visit Pakistan.



On the sidelines, Senator Dar met with Egypt’s Foreign Minister to review bilateral relations, focusing on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination at bilateral and multilateral levels and highlighted the need for peace and stability in the region. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Egypt’s hospitality during the event.
