Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in Mashhad, Iran, to participate in the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar was received at the airport by Vice Governor General of Razavi Khorasan province Mohammad Ali Nabipoor and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu. During the ministerial meeting, Dar is expected to reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO Charter. He will also discuss the potential for enhanced connectivity in the ECO region, focusing on developing road and rail networks and easing visa regimes and border procedures.
Additionally, the deputy prime minister will sign the ‘Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center’ and engage in bilateral discussions with other ministers and dignitaries attending the meeting.
