Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized renewable energy as a top priority sector for Pakistan, discussing potential investment incentives with Chinese investors during his meeting with Wu Shengliang, Executive Vice President of China Three Gorges Corporation, in Beijing.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar praised the ongoing renewable energy projects managed by China Three Gorges Corporation in Pakistan, particularly those in Karot and Jhimpir, citing them as exemplary achievements in the collaboration between Pakistan and China. The Deputy Prime Minister shared insights into Pakistan’s reform agenda and the favorable climate for Foreign Direct Investment, especially in renewable energy and infrastructure development.
Wu expressed a commitment to accelerating the completion of key projects like the Kohala and Mahl Hydro Power Projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting a shared interest in advancing sustainable energy solutions in the region.
