Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Advocates for Fair Global Financial System


Apia: At the Executive Session of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar called on the international community to establish a fairer global financial architecture, emphasizing the need for debt relief, sustainable investment, and greater access to climate financing.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar outlined a comprehensive approach to improving global financial structures, highlighting the importance of resilient infrastructure and inclusive financial and digital access. He pointed to Pakistan’s particular vulnerabilities, noting its limited access to international financial markets and the severe impacts of climate change on its economy.



Dar also conveyed Pakistan’s active role in the Commonwealth’s efforts, particularly in digital economy and sustainable finance, signaling the country’s dedication to adopting innovative solutions that align with its broader economic strategy.
