Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Advocates for Cross-Party Collaboration to Reform Justice System


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for bipartisan efforts to reform the justice system during a speech in the Senate today. He highlighted the backlog of 60,000 cases at the Supreme Court and substantial pending cases at the high courts as critical areas needing attention.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar proposed the consideration of constitutional courts and welcomed constructive suggestions from the opposition to improve the judiciary. He reassured the Senate that all measures taken would align with the national interests, underscoring the importance of a collaborative approach to legislative reform in the justice sector.
