Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting in the capital today to assess the progress of recently implemented austerity measures, expressing satisfaction with their current compliance. He emphasized the importance of conservation across all sectors amidst ongoing challenges, underscoring that these practices should continue until conditions improve.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Cabinet Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Fuel Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures convened to review the measures. The meeting included a presentation by the Minister for Information Technology, who showcased a dashboard designed to track the implementation of these austerity practices.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that requests for exemptions from the austerity measures should only be considered if they are crucial for the government’s critical and time-sensitive operations.
