ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures to review the current status of various austerity measures announced by the Government.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, Mr. Dar highlighted the importance of adhering to these measures as a national duty due to persistently high international fuel prices. He urged that both the Government and the citizens should comply with the conservation efforts in letter and spirit. Mr. Dar also noted that any tasks of significant importance and urgency impacted by these measures should be presented to the Cabinet Committee for further consideration, ensuring that essential government functions are not compromised.
