Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will not attend the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, citing pressing diplomatic engagements and preparatory responsibilities for an upcoming major international meeting.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch confirmed that Dar’s obligations related to the forthcoming 23rd Meeting of the Council of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization necessitate his presence in Pakistan. Despite Dar’s absence, the schedule for Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to participate in the UNGA Session remains unchanged, ensuring Pakistan’s representation at high levels.
