Deputy Prime Minister Dar Commends British-Pakistanis for Strengthening Pakistan-UK Relations


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar recently expressed his admiration for the contributions of the British-Pakistani community in enhancing the partnership between Pakistan and the United Kingdom during a discussion with Shabana Mahmood, the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice of the UK.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar congratulated Lord Chancellor Mahmood on her appointment, highlighting it as a significant achievement for Muslims and particularly for Pakistanis. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the 1.7 million British-Pakistanis in strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations.



The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized his eagerness to work with Lord Chancellor Mahmood to further deepen the special relationship for the mutual benefit of both countries’ peoples. He extended an invitation to her to visit Pakistan at a time of mutual convenience.



Lord Chancellor Mahmood expressed gratitude for the Deputy Prime Minister’s congratulations and concurred on the vital role of the British-Pakistani community in fostering stronger relations between Pakistan and the UK.
