Riyadh: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, participated in a ministerial meeting of Arab and Islamic countries in Riyadh to address recent regional developments on March 18, 2026. The meeting aimed to discuss issues related to territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence among the participating nations.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and attended by foreign ministers from Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates. Senator Dar emphasized the need for regional unity and condemned ongoing conflicts, particularly highlighting concerns over Israel’s actions in the region.

During the discussions, Senator Dar called for an end to attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure, stressing the importance of maintaining energy security. He also outlined Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to resolve regional crises and expressed the country’s commitment to supporting peace initiatives.

The meeting concluded with a joint statement, and Senator Dar conveyed messages of solidarity to Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. Additionally, he held bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of Türkiye and Azerbaijan, and attended a quadrilateral meeting with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye’s foreign ministers.
