Deputy Prime Minister Announces Major Funding Boost for Education Sector at PFOWA Event in Islamabad


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for increased investment in education during a certificate awarding ceremony hosted by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) today. He highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s educational infrastructure, marking a significant allocation in the current fiscal budget specifically for this sector.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar addressed the gathering at PFOWA, where he expressed that the future of upcoming generations depends heavily on educational improvements today. He stated that the government has dedicated considerable efforts and resources to ensure advancements in education.



The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned that in addition to government initiatives, other organizations involved in humanitarian aid should increase their focus on addressing financial, health, and educational challenges faced by the populace.



During his speech, Dar applauded the efforts of PFOWA in their ongoing contributions to public welfare. He noted that the association has consistently provided support to the needy and deserving segments of society, reinforcing its role as a pivotal platform for social support.
