Mashhad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in Mashhad, Iran, to participate in the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar was received at the airport by Vice Governor General of Razavi Khorasan province Mohammad Ali Nabipoor and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu. In his address at the ministerial meeting, Dar plans to reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO Charter and emphasize the potential for enhanced connectivity within the ECO region. This includes the development of road and rail networks, liberalization of visa regimes, and simplification of border procedures.
During the meeting, Dar is expected to sign the ‘Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center’ and engage in bilateral discussions with other ministers and dignitaries attending the event.
