Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar is set to represent Pakistan at the Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah. The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, will address the escalating conflicts in the Middle East, focusing specifically on the situation in Palestine and regional impacts of Israeli actions.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting was prompted by requests from the State of Palestine and the Islamic Republic of Iran. It aims to deliberate on the ongoing Israeli aggression and its repercussions on Palestine and neighboring states. Deputy PM Dar will articulate Pakistan’s grave concerns regarding the crises in Gaza and the broader Middle East, advocating for urgent peace initiatives and enhanced relief efforts for the affected populations.
In addition to the main discussions, Deputy PM Dar is also scheduled to engage in bilateral talks with his counterparts from other OIC member states, furthering discussions on mutual concerns and cooperative strategies.
