Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced a new initiative aimed at addressing the challenges in Balochistan through comprehensive consultations with all stakeholders. This approach was discussed during a meeting in Quetta, focusing on the province’s law and order and development projects.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar emphasized the formulation of a long-term strategic plan that will secure Balochistan’s legitimate rights and contribute to its development. He acknowledged the country’s current economic struggles but expressed optimism about achieving sustainable development through persistent efforts and strategic economic management.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of reducing expenses to strengthen the economy and stressed the importance of eliminating anti-state elements to maintain peace in the region. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti also spoke at the meeting, underscoring the need for effective federal interventions to elevate Balochistan’s status to that of other provinces.
