Deputy PM Dar Vows Economic Reforms During Bari Imam Urs Ceremony


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has articulated a robust vision for Pakistan’s economic future, emphasizing government initiatives aimed at propelling the country towards significant economic stability. Speaking at a ceremony held in honor of Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi, known as Bari Imam, Dar detailed plans to elevate Pakistan into the ranks of the world’s most powerful economies.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the event in Islamabad, Dar expressed confidence in the country’s economic policies, suggesting that these reforms are set to position Pakistan on a fast track to joining the G20 group of nations. He highlighted that the government’s prudent economic measures are crafting a pathway for substantial economic transformation.



Dar also reiterated his commitment to continuing the legacy of Pakistan’s founders, aiming to mold a nation that mirrors their vision of prosperity and progress. In addition to his economic discourse, he announced an acceleration of the second extension project at the Darbar Bari Imam, demonstrating the intertwining of cultural heritage with national developmental goals.



The ceremony also featured a ‘Chadar poshi’ ritual, where Dar participated in laying a ceremonial cloth at the shrine, underscoring the cultural significance of the event amidst discussions of economic aspirations.
