Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad Reviews Post-Rain Cleanliness Efforts in Karachi

Karachi: Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, following directives from the Chief Minister of Sindh, embarked on a series of inspections across various districts of Karachi to evaluate the cleanliness and drainage systems after recent rains.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Deputy Mayor presided over a meeting with Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, along with district officials and urban management teams to assess the post-rain situation. The focus was on ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the city, which has reportedly seen improvements due to the proactive measures from the Chief Minister’s office. During the meeting, strategies were discussed to enhance the city’s drainage and waste management systems, especially in District West and Kemari.

Following the session, Murad and Mehdi visited multiple locales to review the effectiveness of the implemented measures. The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, also conducted site visits, providing guidance to ensure that major highways and underpasses remain functional and safe for public use. The deployment of emergency teams and machinery was confirmed to be effective in maintaining clear travel routes throughout the city, despite continuous rainfall.
