KARACHI: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad emphasized the importance of working tirelessly to achieve the vision of Pakistan as envisaged by poet Allama Iqbal, in his message on Iqbal’s birthday. He highlighted the nation’s recognition of Iqbal’s academic, intellectual, and political contributions. Murad noted that Iqbal’s work has enlightened the youth of the subcontinent about the sacrifices made by their ancestors and his vision for an independent Muslim state characterized by peace, political tolerance, and brotherhood.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Deputy Mayor Murad reiterated Iqbal’s dream of a Pakistan built on principles of harmony and mutual respect. He called upon the citizens to renew their commitment to these ideals and work collectively towards realizing the poet’s aspirations for the country.
