Karachi: Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad commended Nadir Baloch, a boxer hailing from Karachi, for his recent victory at the Asian Boxing Federation Championship in Thailand. Nadir Baloch secured the championship title by defeating Indian boxer Shibham Yadav with a knockout in the second round. The Deputy Mayor expressed hope for Baloch’s continued success in the boxing arena.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), during a meeting with the champion, the Deputy Mayor congratulated Nadir Baloch and emphasized Karachi Municipality’s commitment to supporting young and talented boxers. Efforts are being made at the grassroots level to foster such talent. Murad highlighted the talent and hard work of the city’s youth, noting their commendable achievements in sports and other fields.
Boxers from Karachi have historically brought recognition to the country, and with continued encouragement and proper guidance, further achievements are anticipated. As a token of appreciation, Deputy Mayor Murad presented Nadir Baloch with a commemorative shield on behalf of Baldia Azma Karachi.
