Deputy Commissioner Sibi Stresses Importance of Education in Rural Areas, Orders Reforms

Sibi: Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jahanzeb Sheikh emphasized the critical role of education in national development, particularly in rural areas, during a District Education Group Committee meeting. He highlighted the importance of providing quality educational facilities to children and youth, stressing that education is the foundation for the progress of nations.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Sheikh underscored the need for teachers to fulfill their duties with integrity, ensuring their presence at assigned schools. He also announced salary deductions for two education department clerks for misconduct and non-compliance.

Sheikh called for immediate action to reopen closed schools across the district, directing education officers to compile a list of inactive schools. He suggested activating these schools by recruiting teachers on a contract basis to ensure that all children in the district have access to education.

District Education Officer Abdul Sattar Longo noted that two schools have already been reopened, with efforts underway to operationalize the remaining schools. He also mentioned upcoming job vacancies for grades 09 to 15.
