Chaman: In an effort to streamline and improve local administrative services, Deputy Commissioner Captain R Raja Athar Abbas conducted a surprise inspection of the passport office in Chaman. During his visit, he engaged with citizens to assess and address public service issues and received a briefing on passport processing from the Passport Officer.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Abbas emphasized the importance of simplifying the passport issuance process for eligible applicants during his interaction with the Passport Officer. He directed that efforts should be made to ease the process for those who meet the office’s regulations and other necessary requirements.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Abbas visited the newly established sub-office of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in the city. He reviewed operations at both the passport office and the NADRA sub-office, gathering feedback directly from the public on the second day of the new office’s operations. The visit highlighted the issuance of identity card tokens to many individuals, reflecting a significant stride in administrative efficiency.
Highlighting the broader support for local administrative improvements, Deputy Commissioner Abbas mentioned that both Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, Captain R. Abdul Khaliq, and the Chief Minister of Balochistan are keen on ensuring the provision of basic facilities, including streamlined processes for passports and identity cards. The local populace expressed their appreciation for these initiatives and voiced their expectation that such efforts would continue under the leadership of both the Deputy Commissioner and the Assembly Speaker.
The visit underscores a committed effort by Chaman’s local administration to enhance the service delivery systems to the public, aiming to minimize wait times and alleviate difficulties faced by the citizens in obtaining essential documents.
