Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mukesh Agnihotri, has openly criticized the BJP for its policies in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the local populace is set to retaliate against the party’s misleading strategies.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a press interaction in Jammu with Congress leader Bharatsinh Solanki, who is responsible for the party’s affairs in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Agnihotri expressed confidence that the residents would see through the BJP’s deceitful tactics. “Despite their efforts, we will form an alliance government that truly represents the wishes and aspirations of all sections of society,” he stated.
Agnihotri voiced his concerns over the BJP’s desperate maneuvers in the region, noting the frequent visits by BJP leaders, including the Prime Minister, which he interpreted as attempts to shore up declining support. “The BJP leadership is frustrated, and it shows in their actions,” he commented, emphasizing the need to confront the BJP’s mismanagement and unfulfilled promises.
Reaffirming the Congress party’s commitment, Agnihotri highlighted the pledge to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, a promise that features prominently in the party’s election manifesto.
