Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasar underscored the significance of the Makkah Defence Agreement in fostering regional and global peace during a series of meetings with key stakeholders. According to Senate of Pakistan, Nasar met with prominent figures including the Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, and the Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan. The discussions focused on Pakistan’s political and economic landscape, law and order, and other regional developments.

Nasar highlighted that the Makkah Defence Agreement, involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, was crucial for enhancing defence cooperation and fostering unity and security within the Muslim world. He stressed the importance of collaboration and mutual consultation in addressing contemporary security challenges that transcend national boundaries. Pakistan, he noted, continues to play an active role in promoting peace and stability under the guidance of its political and military leadership.

In addressing the country’s internal affairs, Nasar emphasized the government’s commitment to public welfare, economic stability, and national development. He advocated for harnessing Pakistan’s natural resources through strategic policymaking and investment to bolster the national economy. Nasar called for unity across political lines, urging collective efforts from political leaders, the business community, and civil society to address national challenges and propel Pakistan towards progress and prosperity.
