Deputy Chairman Senate Discusses Regional Diplomacy and National Security in Islamabad Meetings


Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar conducted meetings with senators, assembly members, and various societal representatives, focusing on the political climate, regional diplomacy, and Iran-U.S. negotiations. The discussions emphasized Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability.



According to Senate of Pakistan, the Deputy Chairman engaged in detailed dialogues with Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, and Sindh Provincial Assembly Member Raja Khan Jakhrani. The meetings addressed the ongoing diplomatic discussions between Iran and the United States in Switzerland and other mutual interests. Nasar underscored Pakistan’s commitment to peace and dialogue as effective tools for conflict resolution.



Nasar described the Iran-U.S. negotiations as promising, expressing hope for enhanced regional peace. He lauded Pakistan’s responsible stance in promoting diplomatic solutions under Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, highlighting the government’s balanced foreign policy.



Additionally, Nasar honored Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir for his contributions to national security, acknowledging the armed forces’ critical role in maintaining national sovereignty. Meeting participants praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and advocated for international dialogue and cooperation to resolve conflicts.



The Deputy Chairman reaffirmed Parliament’s dedication to advancing national interests and public welfare, committing to fostering peace and mutual respect globally.
