Demos in Srinagar, Jammu against anti-people policies of authorities

Srinagar, September 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Protest demonstrations were held in Srinagar and Jammu in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the anti-people policies of the authorities.

According to Kashmir Media Service, specially-abled persons under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association (JKHA), staged a protest at Press Enclave in Srinagar, pressing for the resolution of their issues, with a special focus on the release of their monthly pensions, which they said has been stopped.

Scores of these people, moving in wheelchairs, were seen holding placards, demanding the resolution of their issues, including the lack of job opportunities, while saying the occupation authorities have failed to alleviate their problems.

The Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum (NGPPWF) held a demonstration at Hari Singh Park in Jammu, alleging discriminatory behavior of the authorities with the retired police and J and K Fire Services’ pensioners.
