Demos in IIOJK against anti-people policies of authorities

Jammu, February 01, 2023 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, forceful protest demonstrations were held in different areas against the anti-people policies of the authorities. All Jammu-based reserved category employees posted in the Kashmir Valley held a strong protest demonstration along with their families outside Raj Bhawan (Governor House) in Jammu city. They are demanding their transfer to Jammu division. The protesting employees shouted slogans in support of their demands. They also raised loud slogans against BJP and IIOJK administration.

The employees’ families said these hapless workers are protesting for more than 220 days but unfortunately, the administration has turned deaf ear towards the plight. Hundreds of workers of Anganwadi (rural child care centre) held a strong demonstration in Jammu. They raised slogans in favour of their demands including enhancement of their honorarium, provision of gratuity of Rs 4 lacs and granting of retirement benefits including pension.

Locals held a strong protest in Nagrota over the extremely bad condition of Nagrota road connecting with Battal Balian road. The protesters raised slogans against the PWD (Public Works Department) and the district administration. They said that this road was totally damaged, which needs immediate repair and black topping. People staged a protest in RS Pura area of Jammu region against the Power Development Department (PDD) over its decision to snap the power supply in seven villages. They demanded strict action against the officers who have issued such unfair and illegal directions.
