Muzaffarabad, September 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): A massive protest demonstration was held in Muzaffarabad, today, against the Indian lies at the United Nations General Assembly.
A large number of people participated in the protest organized in front of the United Nations Observer Office in Muzaffarabad by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the Indian Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar’s address to the UNGA. The Protestants carrying black flags and banners shouted slogans against Indian atrocities in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing on the occasion, the speakers said India has become a country known for spreading terrorism around the globe and in such an environment, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s speech at the world forum is a failed attempt to mislead the world. They maintained that the Narendra Modi-led BJP government in India is creating unrest and instability particularly in South Asia.
The speakers said that the Modi government was involved in the killing of political opponents in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, Canada and other countries through its spy agency RAW. “India continues to ignore the UN resolutions on the Kashmir issue and under these circumstances, the speech of the Indian foreign minister at the international forum is nothing but to hide the importance and sensitivity of the Kashmir issue from the eyes of the world,” they said.
They urged the United Nations and countries around the world to take cognizance of Indian state terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and fulfill their constitutional obligation to resolve the Kashmir dispute. They demanded implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Shaakat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, Shehbaz Ahmed, Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Riyaz Awan, Iqbal Yasin Awan, Muhammad Ishaq Shaheen, Chaudhry Muhammad Mushtaq, Khawaja Muhammad Sadiq, Aslam Awan, Faisal Farooq, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan and others participated in the protest.
