New Delhi, October 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):Delhi Police rearrested four members of Muslim organization, Popular Front of India (PFI), hours after they were released on bail by a court. Six arrested members of PFI, Muhammad Jabir, Sameer Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Habib Asghar Jamali, Abdul Rabb and Abdul Waris were produced before Special Magistrate at Amar Colony Police Station who granted bail. They were taken back to Tihar Jail to complete the formalities for release.
The family car of Muhammad Jabir and Sameer Khan picked them up when they came out of the jail. However, the Delhi Police rearrested the other persons and booked them under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government on September 28 banned for five years the PFI and eight other organizations affiliated with it on false charges. Indian police have so far arrested hundreds of PFI leaders and activists in the country-wide crackdown.
