Delhi HC defers hearing on Aasiya Andrabi’s case challenging NIA’s attachment of property

New Delhi, December 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Delhi High Court on Monday deferred hearing the pleas by two Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi against the Indian infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) for attaching their house and car, respectively, in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The court has listed the matter for next hearing on February 28, 2023. Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates were arrested in 2018 after India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered a false case against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. They were taken to Tihar jail where they still remain imprisoned.
