New Delhi, June 29, 2021 (PPI-OT): A Delhi court on Tuesday asked Kashmiri resistance leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, arrested in a fake case, whether he has faith in Indian judicial system. Special Judge Dharmender Rana put the queries to Shabbir Shah’s lawyer during the hearing of his bail application. “Ask your client if he has faith in judicial system and the Constitution of India,” the judge asked advocate M S Khan during the hearing held through video conferencing.
“Ask him to inform the court on July 1,” the judge said. Shabbir Ahmad Shah is currently lodged in Tihar central jail in New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate has opposed his bail application. Legal experts have resented the judge’s remarks saying that a judge should not be biased, and he should speak through his verdicts and not remarks.
