Delhi Chief Minister Seeks Extended Interim Bail for Health Reasons

New Delhi, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has requested a seven-day extension on his interim bail from the Supreme Court of India, citing significant health deterioration among other issues.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kejriwal was originally granted temporary bail on May 10 for election campaigning purposes. The Supreme Court had allowed him a 21-day release but restricted him from visiting his office or the Delhi secretariat and from signing any official documents without the lieutenant governor’s approval, barring essential cases.
