Islamabad, July 31, 2023 (PPI-OT): According to the details, a delegation of 33rd Senior Management Course of National Institute of Management Peshawar visited Safe City Islamabad, where they were received by CPO Safe City/Traffic, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the CPO Safe City/Traffic along with his team welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the Centralized System, Command and Control Center, data hub unit, and the functioning and benefits of modern technology.
CPO Safe City/Traffic also briefed the delegation that the Safe City Islamabad project is playing a vital role in various sections, including the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, E-Challan System, and the “Pukar-15” helpline.
He also highlighted the workings and benefits of Safe City cameras in the city and contributing to the security, crime prevention, and protection of life and property of the citizens. 42% of crimes are solved through the Safe City Command and Control Center, he reiterated.
Meanwhile, the delegation also had a meeting with the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. He said that, on the special interest and directives of the Federal Minister of Interior, Rana Sanaullah Khan, resulted in an extended coverage of the Safe City project to various areas of the city with an additional 10% expansion.
The Safe City services have been integrated with important commercial centers, buildings, metro bus stations, shopping malls, and private housing societies across the city, he added.
The ICCPO further said that facial recognition cameras have been installed on the city’s entry and exit points, which play a significant role in identifying suspicious elements.
The ICCPO presented an honorary shield to the delegation. The delegation appreciated the successful visit and expressed special thanks to the ICCPO and his team for this important project and appreciated the professional skills of Islamabad Capital Police.
