Defense Minister Khawaja Asif Criticizes PTI Founder’s Stance on Israel

Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a sharp rebuke of the PTI founder, accusing him of remaining silent on Israel’s actions in Gaza and suggesting his political alignment with Zionist interests. In a video statement released this evening, Asif expressed concerns over the portrayal of the PTI founder in Israeli media and his failure to condemn their actions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Asif highlighted the contrast between Israel’s alleged brutalities in Gaza and the PTI founder’s lack of public condemnation. He described the PTI founder as a “project of Zionists,” citing favorable coverage in Israeli publications.

The Defense Minister also underscored the geopolitical tension, noting Israel’s perception of Pakistan as a threat due to its status as the only nuclear-armed country in the Islamic world and its longstanding non-recognition of Israel since 1947. Asif’s statements intensify the ongoing political discourse in Pakistan concerning international alliances and domestic leadership responses to global conflicts.
