Decision to run awareness campaign on drugs harms, kite flying and one wheeling in private and public educational institutions 

Lahore, November 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that children are our future and playing a supportive role for their best security and education is one of the top priorities of Punjab Police. He further said that Punjab Police along with School Education Department would conduct awareness campaign on drug harms, kite flying and one wheeling in private and public educational institutions and lectures would be given against dangers of kite flying in educational institutions.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that with cooperation of teachers, children as well as their parents should be sent the message to keep eye on activities of their children. If any immoral or illegal activity is found then the parents should train their children. IG Punjab said that, It is very important to create awareness among male and female students about dangers of one wheeling and underage driving. In this regard, Punjab Police Department will run a special campaign in collaboration with School Education.

Teams of Punjab Police Education Unit will visit schools and inform students about the necessary rules. IG Punjab said that actions are being taken against drug lords in vicinity of private and public educational institutions and hostels and legal action is being taken against the accused.

He expressed these views while meeting the Provincial Minister for School Education, Murad Ras at Central Police Office. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for School Education, Murad Ras said that along with best education of the children, their moral training is also our common responsibility and Department of School Education and Punjab Police would work together to secure future of children.

Talking to the provincial minister, IG Punjab said that if police assistance is required for security or traffic management at any place during school hours, the concerned police office should be informed and Punjab Police would ensure all possible cooperation.
